This is a 4-hour-long workshop with a 20-minute break for qualified counsellors, therapists and trainee counsellors. Here is what to expect from this workshop: I will use a diversified approach to learning to accommodate different learning styles and keep the day interesting and exciting. This will include videos, discussions, small group work, role play, slides, and presentations. You will also be able to access the slides and material before the day of the session. Contents: • What is OCD, and what is Pure O • What causes OCD • The overlap between OCD and the neurodivergent mind • Treatment for OCD • Intervention tools used with clients with OCD • Case Studies Outcomes • Help counsellors from various theoretical approaches to develop confidence in working with clients with OCD • Understand the differences between OCD, Anxiety and Pure O • Learn how to use your theoretical background to help clients with OCD effectively • Counsellors will be able to practice with some of the tools and techniques used to treat clients with OCD in triads using case studies • Understand and find ways to relieve the pressure counsellors may have when working with clients with OCD
